Invisalign is the invisible way to straighten your teeth using a series of custom-made, nearly undedectable aligners. Unlike traditional braces, there are no metal wires and brackets making the process more comfortable.
Upon an initial examination, your dentist will decide if Invisalign is right for you (although Invisalign has many applications to correct crowding, spacing, overjet, underbite, deep and open bite, crossbite, etc., traditional braces may still be required in some cases or when compliance is questionable). Your dentist will write a treatment plan and take an impression of your teeth to submit to the Invisalign lab. Using the latest 3-D computer technology, the Invisalign lab will translate your doctor's instructions into a series of precisely customized aligners (clear trays). You will wear each set of aligners for about two weeks (taking them out only to eat). Gradually, week by week, milimeter by milimeter, your teeth are being moved. And because aligners are removable, eating, brushin, and flossing are easy!
Dr Piaskowy has been trained and certified to treat patients using the Invisalign technology.
